Rushing & Guice, P.L.L.C. is proud to announce that Maria Martinez, the firm’s managing partner, has recently been admitted to practice law in the state of New York. Along with the admission of senior partner William Lee Guice III in New York earlier this year, Martinez’s admission to the bar of that state expands the firm’s geographic reach and allows it to serve its business and individual clients in the nation’s financial capital.
“While we have a long tradition of representing Gulf Coast businesses, we know that many of our clients have operations and need services far beyond here,” says Martinez. “We want to be able to assist our clients when and where they need us, and having two partners who are now able to practice in New York helps us do that.”
In addition to New York, Martinez is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Louisiana.
Martinez, who joined Rushing & Guice in 1997 and became a member of the firm in 2002, has earned a reputation for providing sound counsel and meticulous representation. In addition to her significant experience in real estate, business and commercial law, Martinez conducts a general civil practice that also includes estate planning and administration, maritime finance and family law.
